Frank is an established entrepreneur, published author of three books and an expert in leadership and marketing with a proven record of success. He has a diverse background and a wide range of life experiences allowing for greater perspective in sharing and teaching others.
Frank attended Illinois State University, majoring in economics with a minor in military science. Commissioned in 1987 as an officer in the U.S. Army, he received specialized military training in many facets of advanced leadership, logistics, resources management, and strategic planning. He served in the Persian Gulf during Operation Desert Storm and received a Bronze Star for meritorious service. After six years of military service, he returned to the inactive reserves as a captain.
In 1995, he founded Kahuna Business Group where his unique experience is vital to his role in facilitating and leading Kahuna and their client companies through continued growth.
Lunn is a devoted husband to his wife Lisa and father to their three children Frankie, Matthew, and Rachel.
Prior to joining Kahuna in 2003, Tammy served in a variety of administrative, planning, problem-solving and implementation positions ranging in industries as diverse as healthcare, telecommunications and legal.
The one common denominator throughout her career has been providing service which allows the focus of the organization to remain on its goals and objectives. With over 20 years experience, Tammy brings balance to the entrepreneurial process in planning and process management. Her oversight of administration, human resources and internal systems & technology provides a solid infrastructure for both Kahuna corporate and its clients to build upon.
Outside of Kahuna, Tammy is a wife and mother of two who is active in her church.
With over 20 years of progressive financial management experience and accumulated technical and leadership skills, Scott provides financial oversight for all Kahuna companies and its clients.
His ability to navigate growing companies through the lean years of start-up and provide financial analysis and forecasts allows for managed growth and stability. Scott earned a BS in Finance from the University of Illinois and an MBA from DePaul University.
Dean has over three decades of experience in technical systems support and management both in the United Kingdom and here in the States.
Dean provides daily hands-on maintenance for the internal technology systems of Kahuna and its clients. He focuses on providing solutions that allow for improved productivity without compromising data security.
Carin has a diverse background of experience ranging from front office to manufacturing to general management.
Holding a bachelors degree in Education and Music from Easter Illinois University and a bachelors degree in Accounting from Illinois State University, Carin joined Kahuna’s finance department in 2007. Since becoming a part of the our team, Carin has allowed for increased efficiencies in the daily accounting needs of Kahuna and its client companies through her ability to create necessary procedures as well as audit their effectiveness.
Carin is married and has a strong interest in sports and outdoor activities.
Ryan first joined Kahuna Business Group in January of 2011 and is a welcome addition to the Kahuna family. His current duties as Finance Associate include general accounting for Kahuna business entities with a primary focus on supporting Acclaim Resource Partners. Prior to coming on board with Kahuna Business Group, Ryan spent 2 years at an accounting firm. He currently holds a B.S. in accounting from Illinois State University and C.P.A. certification from the State of Illinois.
Ryan’s personal hobbies include weight lifting and nutrition. He is a self-diagnosed media addict when it comes to movies, books, internet forums, TV, and gaming… usually combining a minimum of 2 at once. Ryan doesn’t have any kids of his own but, as a landlord, finds plenty of opportunity to practice his parenting skills. He recently adopted 27 and 26 year old males, more traditionally known as roommates/tenants. Ryan also enjoys spending his spare time as a punching bag for his 3 yr. old nephew.
Cheryl became a member of the Kahuna finance department in Spring 2009. Cheryl has earned a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. With 14 years experience in banking, Cheryl joined Kahuna with a solid foundation of knowledge that we have been able to steadily build upon. She currently provides payroll processing and general accounting functions for several Kahuna entities as well as assists Kahuna's ATM organization with a variety of initiatives.
